The cuts in this round appear to be widespread. One of my good friends is an AWS account manager for a large account and she was impacted this morning.

The tech industry is so terrible for employees right now, and I can’t wait until the tides shift. Another day, another major layoff from a big, profitable company.

I, for one, will not forget how disposable these companies treated their employees and I will return the favor.

I will tell you a secret:

They do not care.

The goal for them is to achieve “AGI”, even if the definition means forever layoffs until they reach “AGI”.

Amazon is the worst of all of them and their margins are extremely thin.
